_manifesto
3: a list of passengers or an invoice of cargo for a vehicle (such as a ship or plane)
If Kokommons was a cargo ship it wouldn’t be a big one, maybe a small dinghy crossing from Tangier to Algeciras with who knows what.
And if a Ship manifesto was needed it would be something like this:
Passengers:
- Skipper: Bosco, since there is no one else
Cargo:
_Three Barrels of ideas a little to big for its own containers (probably mislabeled)
- An online open university where thousands of texts are archived and organised in reading lists and studying guides for anybody to access. From philosophy to tree pruning. A starting point for anybody interested about studying a new field and in need of a solid, clear starting point.
- A personal learning journal; an excuse to research, study and summarize those new topics that arise everyday and we don’t dedicate enough time with. A way to spend some time weekly reading and writing about new knowledge and hopefully making it easier for myself to memorize some of it. !¡No te acostarás sin saber una cosa más!
- A culture, environment and design magazine, with a focus in editorial design. A graphically appealing leaflet full of people’s opinions, ideas, creativeness and silliness.
_Three anchovies tins
These three dreams have been accompanying me for years, some times as pure ideas, some times as vague attempts, sometimes as long dreamy conversations with friends (probably more interesting for me than for them). But now I want to try again.
Kokommons wants to combine all these three in one more feasible project. An online common of knowledge, creativity and opinions. For the moment a simple wordpress blog where I will start uploading and archiving articles and other media content I feel interested about but that will hopefully evolve into a community run, open for all, no fee, online (and sometimes physical) magazine about art, politics, poetry, nature, science and anything else us, the writers and readers (here I include you), are interested about.
